Textures are based on NASA imagery/elevation data; the source includes artistic
color adjustments and invented fill for some unmapped terrain. They are visual
maps, not untouched scientific observation products. Venus uses its cloud map.
Original downloaded maps are preserved. V2 derives cloud opacity and ocean
roughness from those maps and converts normal/specular TIFFs to PNG for PBR.
UV-mapped to Blender meshes and embedded in GLB.

Credits: Ernie Wright (USRA), Noah Petro (NASA/GSFC); LRO LROC and LOLA teams.
Colour converted TIFF to quality-94 JPEG. Elevation converted to tangent-space
normal maps: 4K Blender master and a downsampled 2K web map; artistic strength 1.3.
Source colour map is optimized for aesthetics and includes polar fill; not a

V2 atmospheric shading, Gaussian star sprites and optional page twinkle are
project-authored. User-supplied Globe and StarsCanvas snippets informed the visual
direction. Their React/Tailwind wrappers were not copied into this Vite/Three.js
project. Black-hole renderer was not provided and was not integrated.
